What is the statue of limitations for a crime committed in Texas that is a Misdemeanor based crime such as property damage?

Under Article 12.02 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, the statute of limitations period for all misdemeanors is two years from the date of the commission of the offense. There are some times that are excludable from the two years such as any time in which the defendant is absent from the state.
