is there a statue of limitations in Texas on traffic tickets that turned into warrents

The statute of limitations is the time that prosecutors have to prosecute you for committing a crime. If you commit a crime on Jan. 1, 2008 and no one has charged you by Jan. 1, 2010 and there is a two year statute of limitations then you can never be charged with that crime. It is not the time that passes after a warrant has been issued. Since there is a warrant out, then you were charged with the traffic offense and it will never go away until you take care of it.
