Re: Statute of limitations in TexasMy friend was visiting Gar

Hello there,

This situation can be taken care of very easily by simply contacting the court and finding out if there are any active warrants.

She can either do this herself or hire an attorney to handle it for her.

If there are active warrants, an attorney can have them lifted and also work with the court to try and keep the citation from going on her drivers record.

If you have any further questions feel free to contact my office.

Sincerely,

Statutute of limitations normally do not apply to warrants, and she is at risk of getting arrested. A detailed investigation into the records is required to see if the warrant is still pending and if it is, then it needs to be sorted out prior to her taking a chance to visit.
