Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
My stepson was outside his friends house when his Dad shot the friend inside the house and his friend died from the incident. I am moving from midland to ft worth but the police say i can't take my son out of town till the friends father goes to trial. If i'm moving what am i to do leave my stepson behind with no where to live? What are my options ?

Bunk. The life cannot dictate where your stepson lives. He is not on bond, he is not a defendant, he does not owe the police ANYTHING. When you move him you can, but do not have to call the police and give his address. It would be best to cooperate by giving the information and letting him be a witness but he does not have to be treated like an accused.
