Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
stolen credit card
who can access a gas station's surveillance video? my credit card was stolen out of my apartment and i'm pretty sure i could recognize the guy if i saw him on camera. my friends know where he lives and i have already filed a police report, but i know the police are not going to do anything about it. i know the card was used at three different gas stations and a grocery store. is there anything that i can do? i don't want to have to get my lawyer involved...

Re: stolen credit card
What do you mean, you don't want your lawyer involved? That is what you need a lawyer for -- the only option I can imagine is to sue the guy, and subpoena the tapes. Most businesses re-tape, and it is unlikely that the evidence still exists.
