Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
If something is stolen from someone but the product is returned, an nothing is filed on that person at that point. Could the person still file on the victim if they didnt do it that day?

Yes. The theft occurred at the time the item was taken regardless of whether it was subsequently returned. Howevever, the police are less likely to take charges if the person did not call immediately about the incident.
