Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Stolen Property
I placed my car in the local neighborhood repair shop. While in their care the car was broken into and my car stereo and stereo amplifier was stolen they the owner and mechanic told me they would pay for the stolen property because they left the car unlocked. They have only given me a total of fifty dollars and now they are giving me the run around.I didnt make a police report because they said they would pay.
Do I have valid claim against them in a court of law ?
Is it too late to file a police report on the incident?

Re: Stolen Property
What claim if any that you have depends on certain facts. Was your agreement oral or written? How much was the agreement for? How long ago did you car get broken into? You can always file a police report.
