Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Sueing legal donators
If Joe sues Mary, and a circle of Mary's friends give her money (donations, not loans) to help pay for her legal fees; would it be illegal (criminally or civily) for Joe to publicly announce that he will sue anyone who gives any money to Mary? Sounds kind of like extortion, but maybe not. It still sounds illegal. Thank you!

illegal? probably not--yet there would be no cause of action I can think of to sue her friends
