Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
I was supposed to be mailed a ciatation for theft (shoplifting) in the mail. It never came and I forgot about it a moved. That was 10 years ago, now the county website (in TX) shows a warrant for me. I can pay the fines from the state I live in now (not TX) and have the warrant removed?

Not generally. And, you do not want to simply pay fines or you will have a final conviction for theft - a crime of moral turpitude. They cannot arrest you in another state for a misdemeanor. When you come back to visit, hire a lawyer and get it taken care of. More than likely it will be dismissed.
