Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I'm taking a 22 year old girl to court for assault. I just got to work, went into the restroom to change, came back out, then into the back room where she confronted me with a rumor that was spread about her that I didn't have anything to do with. She then pushed me into the chair. I asked her not touch me and I didn't have anything to say in till the manager was there. She then said, "What are you going to do? Nothing?", and continued to shove me at my chest area. I found a manager and before the police could arrive he sent her home. All of this is because of rumors and talk. I’m 17 years old as of 20 days ago, one of the youngest ones at my job. How do you think this will turn out? What do I need to do?

What you say happened fits the legal definition of assault. Assuming you told the police officer what happened, the officer will turn in a report. The District Attorneys office or the Municipal prosecutor's office will review the report and decide whether to prosecute the case. If they, do a warrant will be issued for her arrest.
