Should I talk to the victim's family?
Would it hurt a criminal case if we try to talk to the family's victim?

Hello there:
First, you should be cautions because criminal charges are pending and statements you make could be used against you.
Second, is there a protective order forbidding contact? If so you will be facing another criminal charge!!!
Third, the best thing you can do is hire an attorney and have him advise you. DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITHOUT THE ADVICE OF AN ATTORNEY.

Re: Should I talk to the victim's family?
In general, you should not talk to anyone. If a criminal case is brought against you, and you go to trial, then anything you said to anyone can be used against you. If you think that talking to the victim's family may help, then you should first discuss this with your lawyer. If you do not have a lawyer, then you should get one.
