Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
task force
if the task force comes to your house and said they had a narcotics tip, and wanted permission to search, and you told them no, and that you did not want to talk to them, but they would not let you close your door and return back inside.he kept his foot in the door until finnaly he pulled me outside and put handcuffs on me.Then he said he was going in to make sure no one else was in the house.upon entry he found 66 marajuina plants. He kept harrasing me for atleast 20 minutes, and the whole time i was saying i do not want to talk, i want a lawyer, i want to go inside, but he did not care. is this legal?they never got a warrant, and they were even told if they wanted in to get a warrant.so how can this be legal?

Re: task force
from what you describe, it doesnt sound legal. in texas, they must have a warrant to arrest you in your home, absent "exigent circumstances." There is a good chance that your fourth amendment rights were violated. I would suggest you get a good lawyer to review your case and fight this!
