technical violation for probation

What is a technical violation for probation? I was to meet with probation officer in August the day before I called to let her know I could not take off work spoke to 4 people in her office. I sent a letter from employer stating I would be fired if I did not go to work. She in return sent me a letter stating it is a technical violation

Re: technical violation for probation

A technical violation is still a violation of your conditions of probation. They probably called it technical to reflect their opinion of diminished severity .Nevertheless, violating any condition of probation is sufficient grounds to file a motion to revoke your probation. However it is unlikely that they would do so as you made an effort to communicate with the office ( and i assume get a meeting date to when you could go). Also another condition of probation is that you be employed. However if you keep missing meetings, it becomes more and more likely that they will file an MTR.

If your employer won't let you go at all, you will need to find another who will.
