Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Teenager got MIP
my daughter went to a party and was there for 5 min was walking up stairs to us the bathroom and then all other kids were runnung behind her to run and hide in the closet. She has never been in trouble and didn't know what to do so she followed the other kids to the closet. She was given an MIP. I do not think she is guilty. What would be the costs for an attorney to fight this?

Different jurisdictions vary, but I would hazard to guess that for a Class C misdemeanor, other than a traffic violation, you could expect to be charged a $500 retainer. Call attorneys in your area to determine the fee scale.
