Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Telephone harrassment

My Ex-Wife has called the Sherriff and said that I am Telephone Harrassing her, I did call her to ask about picking up my children but she never answered the calls. The sherriff called me and told me that if I called her one more time that they would sign a warrent for my arrest, but they said my ex had not came in and filed yet. Doesn't she have to file a charge on me before they can file a warrent on me. I have the telephone bill that shows that I never spoke to her.

Re: Telephone harrassment

Hello there,

From the sounds of this it appears that she has friends in the sheriff's department. You have the right to speak with her regarding your children that should be spelled out in your custody agreement.

You need to file in civil court that she is in contempt for not keeping you up to date in regards to the children to protect yourself.

If you have any further questions feel free to contact me. TylerJustice.com
