Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

terroristic threat

my wife recently was charged with making a terroristic thrat..there is a tape of her saying she was going to hire someone to beat the individual up..in rather stronger terms. We had been having troyble with the individual, and he basically set her up ,had the ipod in his pocket. She was just venting because we had helped this individual out and he was causing problems for us.whats the penalty for something like that?what are the odds of getting charges reduced or dropped. Can the individual drop charges or does the state pursue them no matter what.

Re: terroristic threat

Without knowing more, the odds of getting the charges dropped are small. Reduced? Possibly. You'll need an attorney for this case. Once the complaint is filed, the police become the witnesses and they will not drop the charge. You can bet the State will pursue these charges.
