Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Tesspassing
My son was issued a citation for trespassing on school property while attempting to pick his two sisters up and escort them home safely. We entered a plea of not guilty, opted for a jury trial, and won. It was proven that my child was not trespassing because he had legitimate business to be on school grounds. Can I sue for the recovery of monies spent for lawyer fees and for the three days I had to miss work in order to make court dates? If so, whom do I sue? The cop? The police department? The school official (Principal) that told the cop to issue the ticket? The school district? The cops salary is divided between the city and the school district, each paying half.

You should talk to the lawyer that handled your son's trial case.
