Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

in texas is there a charge of "attempting to impersonate a peace officer?" i know that the actual act is impersonation of a peace officer is but in any law books is the charge of "ATTEMPTING" --CHARGE IS 20 YEARS OLD AND I CANNOT KEEP A JOB BECAUSE OF THIS CHARGE HELP HELP HELP

If you are charged with an offense and later:

(1) the charge is dimissed or

(2) tried and acquitted or

(3) you receive a pardon after being convicted,

you are eligible to have the charge expunged from your record.
