Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Texas Criminal Law - Deferred Adjudication
I was put on probation about 3-4 years ago for a felony drug possesion charge 1 gram. I did the 2 years probation and had no problems during it nor have I since then. I used to hunt before my troubles with my Grandfather and now that I have kids (step-father) who hunt I want to go with them. Am I allowed to own and transport (in a lockbox) a hunting rifle?

Re: Texas Criminal Law - Deferred Adjudication
You probably should get a complete copy of your file from the clerk. If you successfully completed deferred adjudication, then the case should have been dismissed, and you have no conviction. If you completed straight probation, then you have a conviction.
