Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
In Texas, if someone's criminal case (a misdemeanor) is dismissed and they are discharged, then WHY is that case with their mugshot still on the County's website showing what they were arrested for and the whole 9 yards? (It does say "dismissed" in not so obvious lettering), but it doesn't stand out unless you look for it. Why is everything still there? If a person doesn't know to delve further into that case which appears on the website, they'll assume the person is still guilty (at least I did).

Criminal records show arrests and the disposition of those arrests. If your case was dismissed, you can have your criminal record expunged, which would remove the information you are complaining about from all records. See an attorney about the details
