Theft: Being asked to give a statement...need to worry?

I was playing golf at a course I used to work at a few weeks ago. Long story short, my friend and playing partner borrowed the car he got out there in from his friend. His friend came to get the car, and they hung out in the bar for a while. I spent my time in the golf shop catching up with an ex coworker. A while later the Food and Bev director came in and said my friends were trying to steal beer from her. I ran out to their vehicle and found several cases of beer and made them return it to her. Once the beer was being returned and in her possession I left as I wanted to in no way shape or form be associated with the incident. I got a call from a detective yesterday asking for my side of the story. Which I gave to him essentially just as I have here. I got a call from him today asking me to come to the station for a written statement. I talked with the head pro at the golf club who told me I need to steer clear of the grounds, as they are under the impression I had something to do with it. All of the stolen goods were returned and I never had anything that I didn't purchase in my possession or my vehicle. Do I have anything to worry about There is literally no evidence tying me to theft other than my employment there 2 yrs ago.

Of course you have something to worry about, since the complainant has somehow alleged that you were involved. It is time to stop making statements to anyone except an attorney that represents only you, and not your friends or the golf club.
