Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Theft Charges
Can the owner of an abandoned vehicle file theft charges, if he has been asked several times to remove such vehicle and kept making excuses as to why he could not. The vehicle was not drivable, as the driveshaft had been cut off and registration and inspection had expired four years ago. The owner had not lived at said residence for four years. The vehicle was removed from the property to a junk yard. The owner of vehicle then filed theft charges for person having vehicle removed.

Re: Theft Charges
If the police accept a charge, it is defensible. Assuming of course that there is proof of your statements.
