Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
i have a theft by check warrant for 1,139.00,i dont have the funds to pay it off,can i pay my hot checks off by sitting in jail?

You cannot "pay off" the check by sitting in jail - that does not good for the person to whom you wrote the check. They get nothing for you sitting in jail. If you cannot pay off the check and fees, then the prosecutor is going to offer you jail time - and probably fairly high jail time given the loss you have caused for the person to whom you wrote the check.
