Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Theft by check

About 8 years ago I wrote a few hot checks being young and dumb. Three years ago I finally did pay them all off but did get charged with theft by check which gave me the smallest misdemeanor charge and had to do 1 year probation. My question to you is are there steps or ways I can go about to remove this from my public record? Thank you Nick

Re: Theft by check

Yes, you can have the record sealed. It is normally a straightforward process. Once it is sealed, it should be viewable only by people in law enforcement. You should retain an attorney to make sure that it is done properly.
