Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Theft
I gave a check ($2,100) to someone to purchase a boat. Instead, he cashed the check and kept the money. What recourse do I have in recapturing my money. I have not boat and no money.

Do you have an agreement that the funds were being used to purchase a boat? If so, I doubt if you have a criminal case, but you would certainly have a civil case. Sue him.
