Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
theft misdemeanor letter
I have a family member who is accused of sliding merchandise and has received a letter from the claimant attorney's to pay around $300 and no other actions will be taken. What does this mean as far as any other action beening taken?

I normally tell people to just ignore those letters. They are trying to scare you into thinking they will sue.
