Theft under $20,000.
If a person is bailed out of jail by someone eles can they still get a public defender? What is the penalty (min and max) for this crime.

Re: Theft under $20,000.
A person who is bonded out by another may still be eligible for a court appointed attorney. The judge will determine the defendant's ability to obtain an attorney.
