Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Theft retaliation
My sister got caught stealing from Wal-Mart. It was her first offense and the court ordered her to take a class, do community service hours and pay court fees. Now, however, Wal-Mart says she owes them $150 and had a law firm contact her to recover this money. Does she have to pay this money even though it wasn't court mandated?
