Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Threats from family members
I have a sister in law who threatened me and my family with physical violence. I would like to know what I can do to keep her away from me and my family. This person has caused numerous problems with other family members as well. Some are afraid of her. I would like to take legal action to prevent the situation from escalating. She has not physically done anything yet to me or my family but I want to put an end to her harassment. What is the first step I should take? Thank you

Re: Threats from family members
First, you should call the police, file a report, and press criminal charges for the threat. Also you should contact the district attorney and see if you can get a protective order against her.
