Threats
Is it illegal to threaten someone over a text message and if so what are the reprocutions or charges that may follow? Also what kind of law does this fall under?

yes, the perosn could be charged with terroristic threat. Class B misdemeanor so facing 6 months in jail and a $2,000 fine.
