Court-appointed attorneys are provided only when you establish you cannot afford one. Some courts will change their mind and appoint an attorney for you, if you go back to the coordinator, showing you have had contact with three attorneys and you are unable to retain them. Most judges know that many attorneys will work on a limited retainer, followed by payments.
