What can I do about someone totally lying on a police statement about me?

It depends. Are you charged with something? If so, then go to trial and your lawyer can cross examine them and expose the lies. Were you investigated and the case closed without prosecution? Then you can talk to a lawyer about suing them for whatever costs you incurred as a result, if they have any money.
