Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
I was trading my cbr1000 for a honda shadow and we were going to trade titles but the owner of the shadow hadn't transferred the title into his name yet and he had already signed the back. So we made a bill of sale stating that he was to tranfer the title and then we would swap titles. We went ahead and traded bikes and this was on december 10th. Since then I have tried calling and asking if he has tranferred the title and he said he had but there was a problem and he had to do it again. So I called the tax assessor and they told me there had been no activity on the title. I've been trying to contact him for the last few days but he has not been responding. I either want my bike back and he can have his back or I want the title to be tranferred. Is there anything I can do or any legal action I can take?

If you have his signed title, can't youi go to the DMV and have the title to his bike transferred to you?
