Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

concerning another trial

we have not dealt with the law my husband and I. Have not received the papers of the restrictions etc. However even though our granddaughter has been found guilty, there are reasons to want another trial. Her probation is for 10 years, from what I understand it says on the paperwork no ''appeal''

why they are rediculous. I don't condone this thing at all, however, this ther girl from what I understand is bragging on the internet as well as has had plenty of problems herself and it was concentual, on the internet she made it sound as thou she was much older. This is very imbarrassing for my family, but I think it is very unfair.. I wouldn't be happy if the situation were reversed but I wouldn't try to distroy another persons life.. We do have to have the trial down there is this true and that she cannot come up here even though she is on probation. We live up here in Michigan

Re: concerning another trial

I don't know from your description what this case is about. It does, however, sound as if she pled no contest or guilty since you say the judgment reads 'no appeal'. If she knowingly and voluntarily waived her right to appeal, there is little if anything, you can do about a new trial. You might want to hire a lawyer in that county to review her file.
