Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I I turn mtself in for a 5 year sentenxe for drugs found in the truxk I was riding in the truck was stopped illegally first the officer said it was cause li/ense plate. Lite was out the driver advised. In texas only one has to work so then the officer said they could not see it.my lawyer kept telling me I was guilty. He also said that the police vidio did not show the stop just the footage from the police station I was offered a plea and was advised to take it from my lawyer the detective that investicated the case said he found it to be another case of abuse from the law. urn myself in I feel that my rights have been abused by the law and my lawyer is there anything I mite do to correct this

You have no standing to complain about the stop of the truck since you were a passenger and not the driver. If officer says he cannot see the license plate, if the case went to trial it would be a fact for the judge / jury to decide.

Whether there was sufficient evidence depends on the facts since you were a passenger. They have to be able to prove that you knew the drugs were there & you intentionally possessed them.

You should have sought the advice of a 2nd lawyer before pleading. At this point, you need to consult with a lawyer who handles post conviction habeas corpus matters.
