Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
During a tussle to prevent my boyfriend from leaving my home with my laptop, my boyfriend slammed my laptop to the floor and broke it. He told the police he accidentally dropped it when I bit him on his arm. Does this still make him responsible to replace my laptop? I am contemplating filing a small claims case but I want to be sure I will win.

You can't be sure you will win. A court case is always a gamble. If he has evidence that you bit him, you may want an attorney to review all of your case before deciding to re-open this particular can of worms.
