Help With Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle - PC 31.07

Here it is short and to the point. I had an agreement with a man I just met to buy a motorcycle from him. I kept the bike for several days to see if I liked it. He showed me what looked like legit papers on the bike so we went to his apartment to pick it up. I did have a witness present while at my house. He was supposed to come back days later to either take the bike or $500 down payment. The day before a man showed up saying he thinks it is his bike and it was stolen. We waited for the police to arrive and they did confirm. The apartments we got the bike from was not his but was the real owners. At some point he was also able to tamper with the VIN tag and Lic plate. The police asked if I wanted to set up on this guy who was going to show up the next day and I said yes but they arrested me and I stayed in jail for the whole day making that impossible. Now I'm stuck with a unauthorized use of a motor vehicle charge and its going to the grand jury within the next week or so. I NEED HELP ON WHAT TO DO! The police ruined me getting in contact with the other guy.
