Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Unauthorized Use of Vehicle

I was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle because my husband reported the vehicle stolen.I left in vehicle 3 weeks ago and he and I have spoken as well as he has sent me text messages saying to keep the car but when he gets angry he calls and reported it stolen. I was charged and taken to station. Is this possible? and are they supposed to at least tell me they are arresting me? They put me in car, put cuffs on and took me to jail.

If he files charges on you, and they issue a warrant for your arrest, the police will arrest you. It is that easy.

As far as telling you the are arresting you, they do not have to call you and give you a warning that you are about to be arrested. When they show up to arrest you, they will likely tell you that you have a warrant and that you are going to be arrested.
