Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
unconstitutional traffic stop
pulled over officer said I ran light(no citation issued), left wallet at home, asked to exit car, gave him my info. which he never checked until we got to jail. took it upon himself never asked me for consent. searched car found drugs. this was friends car he was insistant that I was lying and that I was her? I took ad in newspaper looking for witness, got lucky and have a man who witnessed no traffic violation, and illegal search. What chance do i have in motion to suppress?

If you are a good lawyer, then your chances improve considerably. It is not enough to plead and research this information in your motion. The burden is on you to also prove this evidence to the satisfaction of the court. Good luck.
