Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Unlawfully ceased money.
A person's vehicle broke down on the side of the road. In the vehicle they carried a large sum of money - police stopped to assist but (due to race) asked to search the car and ceased the money without any type of wrong doin being done - No arrest was made and the person was forced to sign a waiver stating no claim of the money because they could not produce any type of documentation that the money belonged to them.
Isn't the money unlawfully Ceased?
