Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Unsatisfied with current attorney
What are lawyers responsiblities to thie client,
and what do you do if you feel like your lawyer is
not representing you to the best of his ability? We
hired a lawyer for my boyfriend who has a POCS
charge, and the lawyer does not stay in constant
communication as to the status and progress of
the case. Everytime we call for some answers,
we are told ''we'll contact you when we know
something'', and as of today, the lawyer has not
seen him in over 3 weeks. We have many
questions and we want some answers! The
lawyer is always ''out working on other cases''.
We've already paid him $5,000 to help us. We are
62 days out from court, and we feel like we are
being ignored.... is there anything we can do?

set an appointment and voice your concerns to him in his office. Ask to see the file and what has been done so far. If you still are not satisfied you can replace him, if the court allows it.
