Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I was the victim of an assult and the person who assulted me went to trial with out me knowing. I was not allowed any information, even though i requested the information. What can I do? Also the person who defended the defendant is an associate to my manager. My manager is a lawyer and shares an office with the lawyer but also workes in the business where the assult took place. Would that be considered a conflict of interest? Can the plea be over turned and she be tried again? I need help becasue the case was miss handled by the police department as well.

First you must understand that in a criminal case you are just a witness. The plaintiff is the state of Texas.

If you were assaulted, you can bring a civil claim against the person who assaulted you. If the person received a criminal conviction or pled guilty in a plea bargain you can use that conviction in a civil case against your assailant.
