Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

if someone violates there probation & now has a warrant out what is the best advice. Do they turn themselves in or talk to probation office? I called supervisor at county & was told best thing was for them to turn themselves in. Not sure if that's right because I've never had this situation before.

The best bet is to hire a lawyer and then be prepared to turn themselves in. The lawyer can review any possible defenses and receive any paperwork that may be used in trying to get the probation reinstated or the sentence as low as possible.

It is absolutely better to turn oneself in than be arrested. It shows accepting responsibility and taking care of business.
