Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Should I wait? Marij Possession help!

I was arrested for poss of marij 2oz along with another friend of mine. She has filed ''Not Guilty'' and has court set for Feb. Her lawyer has stated that he has found areas of fault on behalf of the arresting officer leading him to believe that he can get the charges dropped. She took full responsibility for the possession yet they still arrested me for being in the car as well. No rights were read, and according to her lawyer, very weak paperwork. My arraignment is in early January--my question is should I wait, postpone my date, until her's is resolved? Logically, I would think that it would benefit me to wait to see how the courts view her case given we are being charged for the same crime, same everything. Please help me!

Her lawyer does not represent you. The outcome of her case may very well help you -- but you don't know that, and your case has been filed, and you have to address it. You need an attorney that addresses your interests, and you would be smart to hire one now, rather than later. Good luck.
