Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Waiting for 4 years
I was 16 yrs old dating a 21 year old man. When I went into the relationship I had no knowledge of his backgroud. We were dating for a while. One night it was me and him and another guy they had drugs in the car I was in the back seat. They load two needles for Meth. injection. They were not for me. We got pulled over for a tail light being out then the cop searced the car they found the drugs. They took him to jail letting us go. Four years later they are trying to convict me of possesion of a controlled substance. What can they do to me?

You may have a good speedy trial issue. THe worst they will probably do to you is give you probation, however, based on the facts I would fight this. You really dont need a conviction at your age.
