Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I am wanting to attend college to be a pharmacist. However, twelve years ago when I was eighteen I made a bad decision one night and was arrested and convicted of a class b misdemenor of possession of marijuana. Because I (had just turned) 18 it went on my adult record. I will have to pass a background check to take the pharmacist exam in which I will be denied automatically if I have this shown on my record. My question is this: If I have this record sealed (it is not available for expungement because of the class) will I still be able to take my pharmacist exam and go on to be a pharmacist? I know that I would be able to pass an employment screening if I had the record sealed but what about the federal pharmacist exam? Thanks so much for your help.

An Order of Nondisclosure will not be effective against the licensing board. The information will be available to them. It is my understanding that there is an appeal and waiver process that you can utilize.
