If it is for a misdemeanor, you will not be arrested. However, they may not give you a license. (Not sure on the rules on that - check DPS's website.)
If it is for a felony, you very likely will be arrested and held to see if California wants to come get you.
What should you do? Hire a lawyer in California and take care of the warrant so you don't have to live with the stress.
