Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Warrants

There is a warrant for my arrest for non-payment of prior arrangements made with the county in 2004. I called for the amount and verification of warrant and the clerk advised me the amount but said I and no one else had to be the one to go in and pay it...she refused to say why.. just said no one else could pay the bill for me...Will they be arresting me?.. what will happen?

Re: Warrants

Anyone should be able to go and pay your court costs so the warrant will be lifted.

From what you have written it sounds like the County Clerk or someone there has it out for you and wants you to be arrested.

If you want I or another attorney could call to investigate why they will not accept payment from someone other than yourself.
