weapons charge
Can we get a weapons charge dropped since the gun belonged to a friend who was driving the truck? The incident happened at around 1:00 a.m. at a public park.

Only your attorney can answer this question. After reviewing the court's file, the ADA's file, and discussing the events with potential witnesses, then the attorney can assess the likely outcomes, and advise you as to the proper course to take. Merely because the weapon was owned by another person, does not warrant dismissal of the charges. Ownership and possession by another party, however, may constitute reasonable doubt as to your guilt.
