Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
White collar crime?
i work at a grocery company. I wrote a check for 1000.00.. and did not send if off to get deposited. Anyhow my employer discovered the check. well instead of depositing it they held on to it. I have the funds in my account to cover the check. but i think my employer is now viewing this as theft. Can i be prosecuted for this.

If you did not give the check to anyone for anything, you have not committed a crime. To avoid prosecution you need to be able to prove this. You need to hire a lawyer and explain the facts.

Maybe. Consult a lawyer. In this situation, the best defense could be an offense.
